    Burn Permits Suspended as Hot Conditions Increase Wildfire Intensity

    On Thursday, July 18th, a wildfire grew from approximately 1 to 15 acres as crews fought the blaze overnight. Multiple local fire departments and agencies coordinated to contain the wildfire that began at Mad River County Beach at about 9:38 pm and was reported contained by 3:30 am Friday, July 19th.     Sanctuary Forest Nears Completion of Van Arken Forest Conservation and Offers New Hike for Kids

    Court Victories over Caltrans Celebrated at Potluck in Richardson Grove July 21st

    Unlicensed Mendo cannabis cultivators face raids, while Supervisors work to help licensed growers

    At their July 16 meeting the Mendocino Supervisors heard from Sheriff Allman about ongoing police sweeps against unlicensed cannabis cultivation sites.
