    Changes to Brush Creek Proposal to be Presented Friday

    Gatesco has changed the proposal for the Corner at Brush Creek, and the new proposal includes lower numbers of bedrooms, people, buildings, and overall square footage along with more parking. The Gunnison County Planning Commission will hold a work session and public hearing this Friday at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square in Mt.     Public Comment on Eleven's Helipad Proposal in Irwin

    The Gunnison County Planning Commission took public input in Crested Butte earlier this month on a proposal by luxury travel company Eleven to have a helicopter landing pad in Irwin. Eleven says the pad will be used to fly in clients while bypassing the airport and ground transportation. They say the pad is not for heli-ski operations.     Conundrum Hot Springs Camping Permits Required

    Campers and overnight users at Conundrum Hot Springs will be required to carry permits in order to stay between Silver Dollar Lake and Triangle Pass. Day users may still access the hot springs without a permit. Hikers who plan to camp starting on the Crested Butte side must have their permits printed and on them, or they'll need to keep hiking beyond the permit-only zone. (Photo: USFS) ... more

    Western to Host Girls And Women In Sports Weekend Feb. 11

    The goal of the event is to get more girls and women involved in sports.
